  • Anyone using "Captain Crash" Carbon main blades?

Only reason I ask is I have a set from my Trex 450 Se v2. They came with the heli (along with the Align 3K ones) when I ordered it from Hong kong. I can feel a huge difference over the pro Woodies, and they basically feel the same as the Align 3K blades. I'm not experienced compared to others on this forum, so was wondering what others thought about them?

I can tell you they needed no balancing, unlike the Align 3K's, but did need the base sanding down to fit the grips.

At £14.50 for 325 blades, and £34.95 for 600mm blades they seem like a bargain to me.

It turns out they are GLX blades, and can also be bought from here:

I've used some of the GLX 325 blades. They performed OK, no balance or tracking issues but at the time I was not doing any vicious manoevres.
They did not survive crashes - often splitting at the trailing edge so you had to be careful as they looked ok but the split opened if you twisted them.

I spalshed on a pair of radix before last easter and depite a few arrivals they are still going strong (the GLX wouldn't have survived).
so depending on what surface you fly over, and how hard you fly Radix might prove cheaper in the long run.

Thanks, mind you having any blades that could survive my crashes would be a novelty

hit the dirt plenty of times with my 450 and I have to say the only blades ive had that do have a better survival rate are the radix, however Ive broken them too. so there are no guarantees.

When you get to the bigger blades 600's ive yet to have a pair of any blades survive.
          All the best

I have had the GLX 600 3D blades survive a couple of times, once when the belt snapped on my knight and another time when I got too low hovering inverted. Of course I have broken a few sets as well

If anyone is interested here is a video of the 600 3D blades
