you certainly can, Align UK had my order at the beginning of the year and both Trevor and I (and hopefully Rob) have kits coming to us for review purposes.

thanks mate, so they both have painted FG canopies then.

i was going to get sab blades so have decision now. i wonder why the change in motor design. wonder if the power will be down from the videos now and an xl motor will be out in a month or so.....time will tell.

            great info.

            cheers

with only £20 ish separating the G10 and Carbon kits I can't see the GF being a big seller when it comes with fiberglass blades. Most will go the carbon route to get the carbon blades.

if it is indeed only 20 quid then as you say i can see little to no point in the FG one as the initial purchase. i am really concerned about this motor change however and what performance we can expect now. i might await some vids/reviews before paying for my kit.

                cheers

I very much doubt they would make it less powerful......it's lower kv so potentially it's aimed at 6S power rather than 4S.

Thats good news. My concern was that they might tune it for 4S. It looks like they saw sense and have probably matched the ESC and motor for 6S.

I have personally gone off the idea of one, gonna stick with the 450 and 600,i look forward to seeing Trevs but dont anticipate buying one myself

Also be interesting to see how much bling it has as it is not much cheaper than a glassfibre 600 if those prices are correct

Still undecided here. My 600 gets no airtime as I realised the packs were just too dear to have to have enough to make it enjoyable to fly regularly. So it gets one 5 min flight every 3 months

that's the point of the 500, it's big enough to be stable, small enough to fly anywhere and cheap enough to buy packs for.

the problem is you expect the small heli to be cheaper than the large heli, but there are the same number of parts.
The no electricskit for a 450Se is not that much less than a 600 - so there is little room to fit this one in between.
the cost of the materials is not the conteolling thing, its the cost of producing the different parts.

The difference in total cost is down to the on board electrics and the lipo cost.

I do wish they wouldn't keep assembling the damned things though. i guess they found the cost of assembly is little more than the cost of kitting the parts correctly.
I'd much rather have a completely unassembled kit for a few quid less and assemble it correctly with loctite in all the right places myself.
