He must have forgotten my adress as Im still waiting for my one free sample.
It's not exactly free, by the time I've finished with it the time spent would add up to well beyond what it's worth. Anyone whose tested stuff for my site will know (and I'm sure vouch) that the investment in time far outweighs the cost of the product. The only reason you would do it is because you enjoy testing.
I say this often but I'm sure it looks like a bed of roses from the other side of the fence.
lol ok so ive been rumbled cant a guy have a bit of fun on these forums.
How big a brick pack would I need to make up 4 4200 5s packs then?
I recon I could just about manage on that amount for now.

Not gonna bang on about batteries but am after a bit of advice on my build (please )...
1. The main gear is mounted on the shaft and the collar is tight to the top bearing block. There is a washer in between the main gear and the auto gear but there is still a fair bit of up and down float on the main gear. Are "they all like that Sir"?
2. Has anyone got a preference of electronices placement? I'd prefer to mount the ESC on the underside of the battery tray to keep the frames of the heli clean. Has anyone got any photos they would like to post and share please?
Thanks Ashley.
I wonder why Align suggest mounting the ESC under the battery tray in the manual if it's likely to cause a possible overheating issue
I was hoping not to but the side mounting looks like the way forward with a Hercules on the other side. (The DCup that was going on the 500 is getting fitted to the Knight Sport).
She's looking good though and can't wait to fly her

I have mine under the tray, it should get more than enough cooling through the big hole under the canopy - sitting on the side can sheild the esc from the airflow - just like a rider behind the windshield on a motorbike... had it almost the same location on the 600 never had a moments problem...and still do...
I stopped putting ESC under the battery tray after two incidents (crashes) with the 600 where the battery decided the only way it could exit the canopy was by going through the ESC.

True - but it will just go back out in reverse through the big hole the same way it came in In theory the canopy shape should scoop even more air in going reverse... with the exit hole right past the esc

Maybe so, but I for one appreciate your efforts and have been using your 450s build review and Trextuning site for a couple of years now to great effect.
Has greatly improved my love/hate affair with the 450
