I'm not being funny but if that is your final servo wire install I would watch the chaffing over those carbon frames
If it's not a final install ignore me

Well spotted that man
Yes Matt I can be a lazy git..your are absolutely right to bring that to my attention...
Fortunatly, during the build I managed to force myself to round and smooth the frames for the cables + the cable has a set in it so its sitting just away from the frame although thats not visible in the piccy.
I will be adding small strips of tape over the frames as when I finalise a couple bits of the wiring (gyro/Esc cable..the lower one in the pic)
but thanks for pointing that out as the frames are very sharp out of the box.
Since you mentioned wiring if you fit 9650's if you mount your RX on the gyro mount there is no need to use extension cables..I mounted my Spartan 760 inverted below the boom..
Thanks Brian

don't you think we need to focus on finding configurations that fit the model as its intended to be

I'm guessing the ideal battery config is 6s 2500 as that is what Align have produced to go with it. Most of the pack size problems are brought about by Revos being either too big or too small and everyone wants to run them.Clones are bad
.... that includes Align ones

I agreee,it seems 6s 2200 to 2800 and 5s around 3300
Maxpoly have confirmed to me today that their 5s 3800 is smaller than the ThunderPower 5s 3300 that JK uses so that sounds promising, also its only a few grams heavier around 470 if i remember correctly compared to 440g on the TP one
Anyone wanna swap their 15t pinion for some rocking horse shit!!?

Hi Arky...TBH I think Align have goffed up a bit as far as canopy room/position goes. The pushrods to the Swash run extremely close to the canopy edge and some marking is noticable on mine due to this.
Also the model being so versatile is well capable of using a large variety of packs sizes/weights. Unfortunately it is proving very difficult to source suitable packs that we are physically able to fit staight into the model without having to compromise on balance.
As we have seen pack C rating is important to extract best performance..THE BAD NEWS IS the next generation of High 'C' rated cells all appear to be both heavier and physically larger than the current crop of offerings which is going to make things even worse.
Some of your options without impacting on model balance are FP2500, Revo 2100/2200 size in 6S etc or 3000+ in 5S format otherwise it is damn near impossible to get it to balance 100%. The Revo 3200 2 x 3S is very close but still needs to be staggered/placed accurately to fit. With the canopy mod I can get the weight were it should be.
What Align could do is produce a moulded plate and drill the canopy mount holes 1/2" rearward as that would also work, giving clearance to the pushrods at the same time.. but I just cant do that to my luverly canopy.
It's may not be necessary now but I have a sneaking suspicion it may well become so in the very near future when the new high C cells become the norm... especially if the 5S dont perform.

Jane and Arlene
Jane and Arlene are outside their nursing home, having a drink and a smoke, when it starts to rain. Jane pulls out a condom, cuts off the end, puts i t over her cigarette, and continues smoking.
Arlene: What in the hell is that?
Jane: A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet.
Arlene: Where did you get it?
Jane: You can get them at any drugstore.
The next day, Arlene hobbles herself into the local drugstore and announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms.
The pharmacist, obviously embarrassed, looks at her kind of strangely (she is after all, over 80 years of age), but very delicately asks what brand of condom she prefers.
"Doesn't matter Sonny, as long as it fits on a Camel."
The pharmacist fainted.
hehehe sorry back on topic now
