As you can see the battery is well up and the cyclics really appreciate the difference + balance is very close too..as good as you will get with this pack.

Get your friend some spectaclesFinish on them is fine.
Whether they look crap or not is personal opinion I'd say.Last edited by Ashley Davis; 13-01-2008, 12:31 AM.

The 4200 is a 2P setup..i.e. each 3S pack has a sandwich of 6cells (2100's)..In a brick format it will be 10 cells deep. You may well get heat build up... Also the packs are a very tight squeeze so will have less airflow around them between the frames. You will also have to avoid the canopy mount rubber screws somehow.. In a nose on bump you risk damaging the packs on the pinion.
Flightime between the 4200 and 3200 is not as large as you might expect..just over 1 min between them as the model is over 100g lighter.
You really notice this in flight performance too...especially as the 3200s will sit on the top tray no probs in 5S and in 6S with the canopy mod. It is the best combination between performance/duration/cost so far we have tried..hope that helps you out...
with the 4200mha pack i was under the impression that it runs very cool in the 500 ? so would heat really be an issus ?

yes the 4200 is the coolest running pack of the lot, you have to thrash it just to get it warmish.
Are you sure your friend isn't talking about the old 450 black / yellow blades, they were crap for sure. These 500 ones are just rebadged rotortech blades, glassy finish, really they are lovely if you like black / yellow.

Err True Matt but you dont really notice when they are doing 2500rpm
They fly nice though but it would be good to see a Radix option as i do accept they are a good all rounder for the 600 at present..
Meant very tounge in cheek,i am not a great fan of the 600 Align blades TBH and would welcome a BBT ,Radix etc 430mm option
Also to add, they are made by Century so what do you expect LOLLast edited by ChrisB; 13-01-2008, 10:14 AM.

Fun-Key make the rotortechs as well.
I just looked up real close to my blades, there's no paint bleeds......either you guys got a right ropey set or for once I got lucky
I got to ask though, who goes round staring at their blades from reading distance? The point should be that there's no dents, marks, splits and they have a nice shiny finish all over. They are stiff and fly nice. So even if there were paint bleeds I don't think I'd give a rats ass.Last edited by Ashley Davis; 13-01-2008, 01:13 PM.

Not sure about the rest of you but I am mighty confused now regarding what packs I will need to put in an Align 500

Works for me "so far" and both fit perfect without any modding to the heli..

i have flown a lot of packs (revs and FP) and none need the heli modded to accept them, don't confuse modding with it needs done to fit. it's done to better performance.
there is no need for confusion, i can recommend a pack right now to you easily if you tell me-
1.what type of flying do you want
2.how long a flight time do you want.
