yup, 5s and 6s harnesses are already being looked at guys so sit tight. i'm not sure of dates but it won't be for the charger launch im told. unless somone wants to make their own i'm sure mike can sell you the stuff.
Regarding Trev's CC BEC, looks like it stopped regulating and put the full 20+ volts through his radio system. Suprised the gyro still works.
Harnesses.....yep on the way, basically they are like a Y-Lead, you plug your 2S and 3S pack into it and then plug that into the Cellpro 10S. It then balance charges both packs as if they are a single pack.
the other option would be one 5s4200 "brick" and drop the battery tray down in the frames a little "only four holes to do this" so the pack fits in between the frames snug as a bug but as high up as possible
Arky there are a few reasons why it's not the best idea to go with a brick layout with the 4200's 5S.
The 4200 is a 2P setup..i.e. each 3S pack has a sandwich of 6cells (2100's)..In a brick format it will be 10 cells deep. You may well get heat build up... Also the packs are a very tight squeeze so will have less airflow around them between the frames. You will also have to avoid the canopy mount rubber screws somehow.. In a nose on bump you risk damaging the packs on the pinion.
Flightime between the 4200 and 3200 is not as large as you might expect..just over 1 min between them as the model is over 100g lighter.
You really notice this in flight performance too...especially as the 3200s will sit on the top tray no probs in 5S and in 6S with the canopy mod. It is the best combination between performance/duration/cost so far we have tried..hope that helps you out...
Are these the 3200 revo's you are talking about? What does the 5s 3200 fair like? What does the 3200 6s fair like? Do you have a any pics of them on your model?
The 6s 3200's work very well.. tight fit but overall nice..can get them high up giving a nice balanced feel to the model. Rolls are Axial..good for 6min of 3D..It's easier to mod the canopy mountings as it gives a little more room..I'll try and get two pics for you one is with without canopy mod the other with..that way you will see how high it sits.
3200 6S I flew today, very nice, balanced performance and plenty of headspeed. However, I think the Revo 3300s will be the ones to get. Just running the figures and on paper the headspeed on Revo 6S 3300s should be equal to running 6S 4200s. 4200 is an 18C pack, 3300s are 25C and hold up voltage a lot better as a result.
I'm yet to fly 5S 3200, I think there may well be some headspeed losses at this size. If this weather clears I should get a run on the 5S 3200 next week.
