It would be interesting to see how it worked on 4 or 5s on the bench compared to 6s..

I know its probably wrong but overvolting could be causing the undervolting


To add,while i was doing all my radio setting up i was running the BEC of a 2s pack,i have just connected the 2s pack to the main ESC in and the voltage at the Rx is 6v and wiggling servos and running the motor slowly does not make it drop

same was true when we ran 6S on the bench, couldn't load it up and cause any volt drop. The reason it dies is still a mystery.

I wonder how common this problem really is,there must be several hundred 500`s flying now,maybe there are some faulty ESC`s out there..

I may run one of my 2s Align 1200 lipos with a spare 3A regulator from one of my 600`s for now

If i connect the 3A regulator into the battery socket on the 6200 can i leave the main BEC connected allowing it to supply power also or do i need to snip the positive wire on the lead from the main ESC to the throttle channel?

Im gonna run it as standard and see what happens Shit or bust i know but its only cheap to fix

And dont panic,its gonna be used at my other club where crashes are commonplace,and they like nothing better than seeing a heli go in as they are all fixed wing fliers,however i will plug the Spektrum capacitor in for good measure

I use the Herc in my 600 instead of a RX pack with 9255s/720/BL251/MultiGov and it's been great so far, and very impressed with after sales too after I broke it crashing my Logo 500.

I also have some of the little CC ones rated the same, so I may try one of those in my 500 as it is loads smaller than the Western robotics ones.

thats diff from the sabs i have but mines (blue inner) are also suffering from a bit of warping. where these have been stored prior to andy they haven't been stored right or they have been in heat. they will not track.

i'm sure andy will replace them, sent email. he did warn me it might happen as yours were same.

I mounted mine on the other side of the frames - more or less opposite the ESC

I've just installed a CC Bec - 5A continous, 10A burst with variable voltage up to 9V, runs off the main 6s lipo. Thanks to Thomas for loaning it to me

Sorry to see you've received a pair of those in, what looks like, terrible condition! I have a load of them and they're all in perfect condition. It may have been worth sending them back to R&M and giving them a chance to replace them before publishing as it looks very unusual.

Anywho...if you PM me your address I'd be happy to send you a pair foc as I know they're difficult to get hold of and I'd also like to see you push them

The warning in the box is also out of date according to SAB. It should say max 2700
