  • hmm, I think you'd be hard pressed to get a 5S2P 4200 as a brick on the top tray, I'll give it a go but I think some mods might be required. As a 3S & 2S one above, one below, no problem.

    • Reply..No Ash you misunderstand
My thinking is to recess the upper tray a bit lower down between the frame

      • Picture of the Thunder Power 5s 3300 in situ, fits nicely

        Pack specs are 442grams 32x48x148mms

I am not suggesting you buy one, just gives a size comparison to a known pack

look at the photos on his front page, more closeups

In my opinion the testing is done,,buy a similar spec pack, whack the same 15 tooth pinion on and go and pretend to be able to fly like him

              • Revo do a 3300 of similar specs and size, as well as a 3200. Just for info.
                The 3300 is 25C, the 3200 is 20C.

                    • Nice flight!
What gear are you using on that (apart from 9650 cyclic servos )?

                      Cheers,

                      • The revo 4200 2P is roughly 100x33X38 ea pack (two packs)...It depends on what orientation you want the battery to sit. Width wise 40mm is a tight sliding fit in the frames. A revo 4200 5S would have 10 cells. so about 63/64mm deep.

You could get 57mm if the cells were mounted at 90 deg between each other by using a 3S and 2S together but fitting the 2S in the opposite orientation. Whether this is practical when the pack is built I dont know.

The TP in JK 500 in the picture is 48mm high from the tray so 99% sure modding of the tray would be required.

There is no problem if you split the packs between the trays..but is it OK to run 2S/3S via a Y lead? cant really se it being a problem..

                        cheers

                        • 13 t gear and x2 3s 2200 25c packs you dont get very long on that sized pack but they are very good value for money at about £35 pound, £70 for x2 and you can use them in your 400 size helis
