  • are you trying both 2100 and 2200 rev packs trev? i'm debating which to stump for. i have 3x 2100's and 2x 2200's so do i get another 2100 or just more 2200's...decisons.
I think Ash has some 2100's to try. I'd personally go for the 2200's since they are a higher spec. I'm running 2200's and going to try the 4200's. The 2200 6s weighs in at 400gms, 4200 at just under 800gms. I will see how much this affects the performance of the machine, might be ideal for learners. I am also planning on trying the 3200 6s pack which comes in at 500gms.

      • well i look forward to what you find with the 2100's, the 2200's i know will be fine. only reason i meantioned the 2100's is i already have 3 of them so it makes sense to buy another 1 to make 2 pairs.

the other packs you mention i assume would be good for pottering around.

        cheers

          • That's a Taiwan retailer

If you've got an odd 2100 then it'll be better for you to go for the 2100's for sure

            • I've just flown the 500 in a 3d routine. It has a very different feel to it from my 600 at the moment, feels more like a flybarless machine with 0 decay and a hint of 450 added for good measure. Very crisp although it still needs some tweaking on the cyclics, possibly a small flybar weight. The tail problem was the fact that the ESC was in governor mode, once I disabled that all was fine .

Ash video'd the 2200's and a little of the 4200's (sorry for the messy flying, not used to small helis ). Both packs flew the machine very well and gave great performance in terms of power. I'd say it has more power to weight than a 450 and is somewhere around my current power to weight levels that I have on the z50 motor in my 600. Ash should have the videos up later.

                  • Nope, I got them at home along with his 450...Not sure if he's got anymore. We only had time for 3 flights anyway...

                    • yeah, some wally turned the governor on and couldnt understand why the tail was wagging......wonder who that was?? Anyhow, that eat up the first 30 mins, so we only had time for two proper flights.

                        • Hi

Two flights with mine today, so far very nice and crisp but I need more head speed, think at least one of my 2200ma 3S packs (linking two togther for it) is cattle trucked!
And don't use HS82MG servo's they have too much slop, maybe ok for sports flying but not good for 3D stuff, got some digitals on the way and will probably end up fitting S9650's later one but wanted to try out the options first.
                          Auto's are reasonable as well:-)

                          Cheers

                            • I've got a set of HiTec 5245's waiting to go in that I used in a Logo, same size as 9650, digital, .15/4.4 kg @ 4.8v and .12/5.5 kg at 6v, but loads cheaper (£24 from Als) plus with metal gears.

                              • I'm REALLY trying hard to convince myself I need a 500 size leccy

BUT the more I think, the more I'm not convinced
I can only hoover the 450 in the garden and thats a handful
Anything else I need to be down the field
The cost works out as much or more than a 50 nitro (and I like the smell of nitro)
