  • Best way to secure exhaust nipple?...

Im about to use some JB Weld on an old (but barely used) genesis pipe for my kyosho... but at the same time have a new exhaust for my hawk 30...

So, what do you guys do to 'lock' the pressure nipple in?...

    Thanks

Red Loctite and allow to "cure" - say 24 hours.

I would try simply tightening when pipe is hot? after that falling back to epoxy

The exhaust gets way to hot for loctite to work. If you have used it and you think the nipple is staying in because of it I say, "Think again."

Some are supplied with a star washer but in the main they just stay in.

Forget loctite, it will have melted on the first flight.

Tighten while hot as mentioned above, between that and the fuel tube holding it in place I've not had problems
