Are there any alternatives for this? I'd prefer a lipo to an nimh too but as usual with Spektrum / EFlite / HH stuff that 4000mah Spektrum branded one is kind of pricey!

How do you rate the turnigy lipo's?

I cant fault the spektrum lipo, does exactly what it says on the tin, several hours use, hasnt even dropped 0.1V yet

I used my spektrum lipo yesterday for 2 hours in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon and the same it hasn't Sven dropped 0.1v

I've had a lipo in my DX8 for the last year and only charged it twice with the charger that came with it, but be careful because you do forget to check it and it's a pig when you get to the field and find it needs a charge.

I had the same thing in mind however - went for the spektrum lipo - turns out first one received was faulty, receiver completely out of order (received it a few days earlier) - horizon (or in fact it was Inwoods (as horizon didnt had any stock)) replaced both with no issues - dont know how it might be if there is an issue with either or and who to blame ... single point of contact definitely helps probably worth a thought ...

I used my lipo for a total of 3hrs and 49mins and I has only dropped 0.1v
very impressed
