  • servo overkill?

I havn't seen any problems with my Revlock 20 and JR standard analogue throttle servo.
That servo is slower than the digital servos elsewhere, and I haven't got cyclic throttle mixing on the go yet either.

I do wonder though why we don't use lower cost servos for throttle andthings like the CSM mixture control thingy.

Surely you could use a HDS577 on throttle? particularly with push pull to off load it (as it has no ball bearing).
I just saw the HDS577 I took off my trex tail...

I tend to use cheaper servos on the throttle of my helis.
    They work well...

Without making up brackets the HDS servos will be too small won't they?

I use a cheap but quite fast servo on my throttle ( SX112 ), no rev lock or nothing. But I might put some pitch cyclic mix in soon, try to stop me bogging the enigine.
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

            And a DX8 too

I use an ATG and an 811 as I thought it was pretty much all 811's were good for

the revlock and atg do respond well to a digital servo. i have used many different digitals and there doesnt seem to be any advantage to using a tail servo. 811 and 3152 work great.

I use ball-raced analogue servos in mine, Futaba 3001 or Sanwa 112.

Except for the Vibe which has a 9001 - quality smooth, quiet and precise coreless servo.
