Know how you feel. Weather report for yesterday was supposed to be clear in my area. Clear skies all day at work, come 4-45pm the sky is completely grey. Ten minutes from the flying field, the heavens open. Stayed at the field for 20 mins hoping it would blow over, but it rained all evening. Very frustrating.
      Cheers,
      Simon

not sure if anyone uses this.

            http://www.raintoday.co.uk/

Pretty accurate rain radar, a bit better than the met office one.

It wont give you a forecast but does provide you with a time lapse so you can estimate pretty well the drift of the weather and when its likely to pour down in your area.

I use it a fair bit to try and plan some flying throughout the day. If the rainfall is due to build ups in the area, usual for this time of year then its pretty good, if its overcast with drizzle and forecast for the day then its hard to judge as the returns are all over the place.

Should have heard my language on the ride home yesterday (in the rain.....again)!
I needed to vent. Even my waterproofs are getting tired of it. So I pedalled away, made sure no one else was around and I let rip at the rain with enough expletives to make not only a sailor blush but myself as well. Five minutes worth, I repeated myself a lot as I don't know many bad words (cough). Felt better after.

I want to give my 450 a run with its 2 new 55c packs

On the plus side I fired up the rappy 30 at my mates workshop with DaveJ's head loaders attached and it runs great

Still going to get my more knowledgable mate to check it but I'm very happy with it at the moment, just need an rx battery and she'll be ready to go

I read weather yesterday and it looked flyable, put all lipos on slow balance charge overnight, feeding the nipper this morning the alarm went off to tell me they were done, perfectly timed.
Ready to load car, spitting, check weather report again, forecast to pi$$ down all day.
Resorted to MCPX in lounge, but it doesn't compare

Yup, that's a sensible thing to do. About the only thing to do. I'm gonna find me a barn.
