  • belt cp help rebuilding head

I have stripped and rebuilding the head on the belt cp and i don't have any guides or manuals to help me. i was wondering just how tight the nuts on the feathering shaft needs to be, and even better a diagram of the arrangement of the bearings and washers etc would be a huge help.

    thanks very much

i know this is the cnc head but it might help
    http://www.buzzflyer.co.uk/ESKY-CNC-...uild-Guide.asp

i got the full cnc head and tail including the tail box of ebay for £60
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=140180080649

    hope this helps

ps-not fitted my cnc set yet - waiting for carbon main and tail blades, carbon paddles and the fibreglass airwolf. the carbon blade set and airwolf cost £75 + £25shipping from esky.com

i already bought the upgrade gyro for £11.50 including shipping and now need to buy a decent tail servo.

thanks for that it looks similar but i appear to have more washers than shown in pic #8. i have one side sussed ok but the other side i just had washers and bearings fall out on floor so i couldnt determin the order they go back. im wondering if the reason these nuts are getting tight is cos ive assembled it wrong, badly need to know exactly how they go on.

yea ive put it together now cheers. only thing im not sure on now is how tight i do these feathering shaft nuts. i find that when i tighten it theres no play but when i loosen it a bit enough for the blade grips to move freely there is quite a bit of play there also

apparently a lot of belt cp's are impossible to track. maybe the CNC like you say is the answer but id only upgrade so soon if i knew for sure i wouldn't have this problem. maybe the plastic is too weak to support the weight of the blades or its a bad design.

i think the design fault is in those little rubber washers. whats the point in having bearings if you are gonna add drag/binding with a rubber washer? i don't get it.

check out this advert for the belt cp feathering shafts. it might explain something. the guy selling them is saying that these shafts are slightly thicker than the genuine esky shafts and fit better. wont be any wobble/play if you know what i mean.

hi dashik, i bought the esky upgrade headlock gyro for my belt cp. i want to change the cheap esky servos to some abit better. what servo should i use for the tail and what servos should i use for the cyclic?
                            thanks matt

Well I have completly upgraded my Belt CP to the Carbon version with all the alloy upgrades from Fast Lads (very good guys )

I originally used the E-Sky HH Gyro, Ok but not great.

I currently still use the standard esky servos and have replaced the tail servo with a Hitec 65 with Karbonite gears and also I am now using the Logictech 2100T gyro on it.

Is a stunning upgrade for £70ish pounds

In fact I was so impressed with the 2100T that I got fung to swap the GY401 for the 2100T in my T-Rex 450 SE V2 bundle and also I bought another for one of my other heli's.

I think the frame hole might be a bit on the small side for the Hitec servos but if you get the carbon frame you can file the holes carefully to fit the servos and in fact that is my plan shortly.

Please bear in mind that I have only been flying since July and can Hover tail in and move around a bit but not nose in yet so my advice above is only my opinion.

Personally I'd upgrade the Gyro and tail servos and leave it at that if your not much better at flying than me.

                              Hope that helps.

                              Heres a picture or two..

If thats not the most blinged out Belt CP around I don't know what is..... After all who else use's the roof of a Mini Cooper as a landing pad?

(No not me either it was just for the pics!)
