give it time David, you will get there if you persevere (if thats where you want to get to of course!). i thought id never get past loops and rolls, and now i can do extreme 3D tail in hovers and the like!! seriously, keep pushing yourself to where you want to be, and you will get there. Im trying to get myself towards being able to compete in the 3d championships at clubman level. Its a start, but in this weather the sim is the only place i get any real stick time
Back on topic, any pics of the pack next to a 4800 for comparison?

Jamiem,
You get where you want to go & don't give up.
All I want to do is sport flying. I have no ambition to do 3D, but a couple of loops & rolls & I'll be happy.
I suppose that's what's so good about this hobby. You get to where you want to be & stop there....or go on!
Personally, I enjoy the flying, I enjoy the building/repairing and I enjoy the banter on here. Joy!!
Happy Landings.

My Mother is a "Burley" so why can't I fly like Trvo.
The gene/dna pool must have gone elsewhere !
It could be my age though on reflection. you 3D flier minds must be on gimbals
trouble is you start out just wanting to hover
so you practise and practise until you can
then you learn 8s
so you practise and practise until you can
then you learn nose in
so you practise and practise until you can
etc etc etc...
do you think once you get to loops and rolls you will stop there? what about autos dont think you will be tempted to try an inverted hover?

anybody can be an Arsehole, it takes real commitment, dedication and a whole lot of effort to be nice.
Cool Ade, after I learn to hover I will learn to do an 8!! Can't wait for nose in, I'm really having trouble with the tail in at the moment as you can see, I'm a little heavy handed on the corrections

I once used to think like that...Joining hayling with help from guys like Andy, Rob and Graeme I soon realized that you can only go as far as you believe you can go...Bit of practice and confidence combined with a step by step approach as Ade said is what you need. I see 'older' guys really picking it up fast these days so you can't blame it all on your age either!!!
