I have had one of these re-badged gennys for some years. I used to use it to run my RV when we were Wild camping and touring Europe. A gallon (4.52 litres) used to last 5 to 8 hours depending on what we were running. Mostly it was charging on board Batteries and TV in the evening. Much cheaper to run than the onboard 5KW genny.
Been there and done that, but never stop learning.
Now too many Helis to mention?

I must admit I was hoping it was going to be a tad bigger.. could have been handy as a stand-by here at home out in the sticks just to run central heating pumps for the oil and wood burners when power goes off...but at that rating I can't trust the wife to use available power sensibly. Might still be worth owning one just to run water pumps on a bowser though...at £60 not much to lose

Mine is the same rebadged....had it for 8 years now ...smoke??? no mate at 50:1 there is no smoke that you can see ....runs my workshop hand tools no problem not to noisy..I use it to run my amps my decks lights for all those trance disco biscuit munching party animals... its worked in the 45 degree heat in the australian desert at some enduro events ....for the momey just get it mate you will be very happy and have enough money left over to get something else you need like a fold up gazebo...the fuel tank will charge longer than you can fly for and with an extra 5l jerry can you can go all day...some people always buy the best but the rest of the world gets on with what we can afford ..the smile on your face can not be made happier by the amount of money you spend on stuff..

Now that's my kind of generator, £60 3yr warranty, used on the occasions i fly all day with Laurence, Happy days.

Easier than keep going to the car to grab another 12v field battery Oh & Laurence's field battery's lol

You only need the higher power ones if you wanna keep charging your packs at 10000000amps which is fine if you can afford to keep replacing tired packs through extensive fast charging

The power output compared to the infamous EU10i, isn't that much difference; but efficiency is.

5l of Unleaded is now around £8, plus your oil; and the Honda seems to cost around half the running costs.

I am still in two minds, but it's certainly cheap..

              I get approx 6 hrs charging on 2litres....thats either 6x 3500 6s or 4x 5000 6s per 45 mins running.

After all the problems that clarke piece of shizer gave me the 2 honda's i've had since has been 100% trouble free.

At Air,we were surrounded by smelly, noisey 2 stroker smokers, even the 2kw hyundi suitcase genny next door on saturday night had us raising our voices to communicate.

We have 3 regular members use the honda's and even when all 3 are running in the pits we get no complaints,we often hear..."i can't believe just how quiet they are"

If we were running 2 strokers then we would all look like this

              But without the smile!

Paul,be patient and keep your eyes peeled for a second hand bargain....ebay and local area google searches arw worth keeping an eye on

For the cost of the honda gen I would it expect it to be damn silent.

                  Aldi Generator £60
                  Honda EU10i £700(?)

That £660 worth of fuel, Over 450 litres in today's prices. The efficiency of eu10i will sart to justify itself after saving that much fuel. That's quite a lot.

Aldi is pretty good in my experience. Not fashionable but one of the few places to offer a 3 year guarantee and if something doesn't work you can take it back. No problem with Aldi giving a refund, just all the people in the queue as you have to do it at a normal till. No problem for an antisocoial type though, even a bonus.
