Morning chaps! (and chapettes!)
Looking for some thoughts really. I have my 500 there which needs to be totally re-built after trashing a frame a little while ago. But I've been enjoying the 600 so much I haven't got round to it
Well, tonight, as the Mrs is working and I'm off I'm going to make a start.
I've been thinking about possibly changing out the pinion for a smaller one again to maximise flight times in order to use it as a 'back to basics' trainer. Orientations, circuits, transitions etc. I'm heading towards F3N/3D flying, but I want to tidy it up and hopefully become a better pilot.
It is currently set up with a 15T pinion and a 500MX motor so running about 2700rpm HS Governed.
Should I drop the pinion down to maybe a 12/13T again and make the most of the flight times, or keep it as it is and drop the throttle curve? I imagine it would be more effecient to drop the pinion and run a higher throttle curve. I use 3000s in this so should get a tidy 6+ minutes of nice training flights if all goes to plan.
Any help, as always, much appreciated
Dani
