Oh yeah its been doing it for years, it was the first full size heli to do it and WAS the fastest

Loops, rolls, stall turns just not inverted. I thought it still held the fastest helicopter speed record or am I mistaken.

Lynx still does hold the speed record, but it was stripped out of all but the essentials to fly, and they had taken half the rivets out as well. The reason you can't sustain any inverted flight is that modern heli baldes are too flexiable and they would picth up into the boom and other important parts of the heli, making a mess. An Expert told me.

I was lucky enough to get a ride in one of these when i was serving on HMS Exeter years ago. What a ride, scary taking off and climbing quickly until the ship was a small dot beneath us, high speed flight close to the sea and stall turns. I remember they don't like rotating in one particular direction in stall turns and they shake a lot - yes the pilot showed us.

In my book Apachi long bows are the dogs B....s , cat amongst the pigeons now. They just look so fearce and no quarter to be taken . Was thinking of a scale project there
