why does knowone seem to like raptor v1s ??whats wrong with them?

Nothing really,the V2 and Titan are pretty much the same model,the larger tank on the V2 and different feathering shaft and clutch changes all improve it a bit..

I suppose the reason why the V1 is out of favour is because why would you want one when there are so many V2`s and Titans to be had which are a better bet

Nothing really.

A friend of mine bought a second-hand one - with some V2 bits on - and it's just fine.

The V2 has some refinements, but nothing a beginner will worry about.

If you see a bargain, buy it. When you crash, put V2 bits on.

I sometimes think this hobby is very 'latest-thing' driven. Sure, some improvements are just that, improvements. Some are less obvious.

Because it was the 'Sierra' of helis. Cheap to buy, run & repair. Loads made & 'common'.

But the Raptor has probably been the best learner heli in both its V1 & V2 guises. Just not trendy enough for some.
