Hey I know bring your Vibe 90 to the Club and let Lee fly it... Maybe its not a 50 he needs.....

But yea the vibe 50 has a lot to live up to a premium price and will it be reliable and perform...
Next time I'm up your way I'll bring it.

        Doh!

I have a plank build and its just sat in the Garage I opened the Box glued in the tail and control surfaces and thats it

Nice big plane but no rush to build it. Not like I'm going to want to stand in the cold and fly for the next couple of months.

T-rex was a quick test hover but unable to feel the fingers it wasn't worth flying it around i'd of crashed it for sure

apart from having to strip the pinion out to locktite it to the bearing (which i should have done when i built it, but was too lazt to do so!), ive had 0 problems with my knight thus far. Its had 3 gallons through it, and is going strong in every department and im now getting to a stage where i am starting to push it a bit harder than i ever pusahed any of my other helis.

Ive come to the decision today that my 600e has to go, i just dont fly it, and when i do, i really dont give a crap about it because the knight flys so much better!

Don't matter what heli you fly they all have an issue or 2.

As for the vibe 90 as some will know I have been toying with the idea for a while but on moral grounds 200 odd quid for frames...hmm not sure about that one.

Don't know about you lot but I like to fly differently from day to day and I think in all honesty I wouldn't fly the vibe like I do my others (they get abused as it aint gonna kill the bank too much).

Raptor 90 is looking top of the list for me again....that A109 fuzz is looking tempting but then again probably NOT!

I wouldn't mind having a sniff at the aurora but can't really see that being released soon, regardless what is said about release dates.

If you break the frames, then you've probably killed the helicopter, so their cost is academic really.

When I bought the vibe, airframe cost had a lot to do with my choice. I could have had a new Raptor 90 (Sub £500), a new JR Airskipper 90 (sub £600) or a 2nd hand Vibe (sub £500). The 2nd hand Vibe turned out to be the cheapest option, and the one I found on the BMFA site was a peach, and the seller was a real gent - he let me fly it before I decided to buy it. Then he took all the gear out, I parted with my cash and drove the 3.5 hours home!

                    Great buy.

I think there's a lot of truth in that for all the helis out there, not just the Knight, and maybe this would be a good subject for a new thread?

Can you in all honesty say that you fly it without worrying 'what if'?

That question is meant to sound like a curiousity not a statement (if you know what I mean).

Too right I do - it scares me to death, which kinda defeats the point of the hobby. It's supposed to be fun!

I don't see the rotor disc going around, I just see £ signs flying through the exhaust smoke.

It's great while it lasts, but I don't think I'll have another one, or anything near as expensive. I do like 90 size helis, but as and when the time comes for a new one, I'll probably just go for a Freya at sub £400. I had a 70 one a couple of years ago which I made the mistake of selling - biggest mistake I ever made in this hobby.

It's great to have this machine, but I can't afford to break it. 50 size helis are generally affordable to the typical working man, me included.

This is my point...that's why I think it will probably be a rappy 90.

Not fussed it's only a rappy...I saw the way Lees flew and it looked good to me.

Quick UK sell a replacement sideframe far cheaper... approx £50 (per side).
I disagree with the notion that if the sideframes are stuffed, then the heli is - not the case - I've not done it myself, but seen it...

Vibe 90 beats the Raptor 90 hands down. The flight characteristics are quite different, where the Vibe flys extremely accurately, and it's weight is centred - the Raptor 90 is a tail heavy beast - it's most noticeable in tic-tocs when comparing the two heli's.

Can you in all honesty say that you fly it without worrying 'what if'?
Yes - in my opinion, you really have to (at some point) if you want to push yourself forward
I fly my Vibe thinking "wow", most of the time

Lee, what's wrong with your 600n?
You didn't mention in three pages anything specific?
                                Cheers,
