Is the flybar bent ? Is the feathering shaft bent ? Is the main shaft bent ?

After every crash you should thoroughly check the helicopter for anything bent or damaged

Such a wobble! Replace the Main Shaft, & The Feathering Shaft. Use Blade 400 Feathering Shaft.

What do you mean by boom strike? My understanding of boom strike is the blades hitting the tail boom.

If its just the tail blades hitting the ground it shouldnt matter too much on a 450, especially on a 400 sized belt driven heli.

Regarding the head wobble - maybe something bent. take all of the blades off, hold the heli down to the work bench and spin her up SLOWLY (About 10% throttle, no more - you want it so its just enough to spin the main shaft)

You should be able to observe the head wobbling back and forth. If it is, its the main shaft being bent. If its not, its something else! Also worth looking directly at the tail shaft to see if thats wobbling and bent (I.e if the blades were attached youd be looking directly at the face of both blades spinning round like a clock, look closely at the pin in the middle - it shouldnt be visibly moving or wobbling in any direction)

        good luck!

If you have had a boom strike, where a main blade hits the boom, then almost certainly the feathering spindle is bent.
Check by taking off one blade, and twiddling the nut / bolt on the end of the spindle, whilst looking at the other blade. If the blade wobbles up / down / around, the spindle is bent. Replace it. If its not perfectly straight, you will get horrid vibrations and an un-controllable heli.

You've likely bent something there mate. As mentioned above you want to be changing your feathering shaft, main shaft, flybar if it looks bent.

Sometimes it's just so much easier to change them out rather than pulling it apart, changing one part and not the other, then finding something is still bent after rebuilding it and setting up the head

Good stuff! Makes it sooo much easier when you just swap the whole lot out. Less messing around.

                  Keep it up!

If its a Twister feathering shaft then its not bent. They break and throw all the stepped washers everywhere. As sais the Blade 400 fathering shaft is much better and bends without breaking. I have Twister spares, not sure if the feathering shaft is the Twister or Blade400 variety. What blades are in use? Hopefully glassfibre with washers to take up the slack as the Twister/Blade grips are thicker than the 450 Align/Clone ones. I don't think there are glassfibre baldes made for the thinner grips. I have a lot of spares, do we send them to Rachel or is there going to be a collection service. It looks as though many will be needed.
