There's a dearth of clubs in Birmingham. I fly fixed wing and helis at Sutton Park, flying is restricted to all day Monday and Friday, Saturday & Sunday after 1.00pm. I make it there every Saturday with rare exception and have helped quite a few newcomers with setup and advice. Club membership is 1st Jan to 31st December so you're starting at the right time. Downside of Sutton Park is just that, its a public park so we have to fly with marshalls although we have a reasonable area.

As I live in Halesowen I've also been a member at the clud David Drew mentions at Himbleton. I've been flying there for nearly 2 years now and it has the advantage of being a heli only club.

If you're interested PM me and we'll take it from there.

                    I've PM'd you a reply.

I've been flying fixed wing in Sutton Park for over 20 years now and helis for 18 years or so and the club is still going storng, there's always the doubts about the nanny state and increasing safety precautions, thats why I also fly at another club!

My inlaws live in Shard End so I know it pretty well, handily placed for the park
