collective with cyclic input

Well this is a new one for me and im not sure how to get around it?
Just fitted the spectrum beast X to the rave and im getting collective input when i move the elevator. Doesnt do it with aileron but im getting probably 2-3 dgrees of unwanted collective input with the elevator.
The Rave can be setup for 120' or 140' ccpm and recommends 140 which is what ive done and im wondering if this has anything to do with it?
Anyone know what i need to do to stop this happening????

Hey.

Are you a Futaba flyer by any chance? It's the ccpm mixing being wrong for the swash balls used or FBL unit, I know the Rave can be setup either way so I'm leaning toward the beastx not recognising 140 eCCPM like I found the 3GX didn't.

I had this same problem recently with a 3GX that had been setup and test flown like it by others ;-)
While I was going through it I noticed the collective changing with elevator inputs, now not being a Futaba user I had to recall what I had read about Futaba swashplate types and sure enough the Futaba set had been set to H3 rather than HR3 for 120 degree ccpm.
I switched it to HR3 and it worked perfectly, then reset all the flybarless parameters and the model flew great.

Correct me if im wrong, but wouldn't the swash layout on the radio be set for H1 for a beast x and then the swash type selected during the beast x setup?

Good point, I can't answer that as not setup a beast yet. The Vbar is like that, no ccpm mixing set in radio.

As above then select Blue Flashing at set up point 'H' for 140 deg.

Ill have a fiddle tonight and if i cant solve it ill be putting it to 120' ccpm

have you tried setting it to standard Blue? (Whatever the 1=1 option is)

Hey.

Ah ok, its got to be a swashplate type selection issue within the beastx then mate. As above I spotted a problem with a 600EFL where the swashplate type was wrong for the models swashplate setup type.

In any case its something really simple causing it, so easily fixed.

Could you have accidentally have a program mix active ?

Well ive sussed it, id got it on blue flashing(140') and have changed it to blue solid (140' 1=1) on the beast x and alls working properly now
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two 140' settings on the beast x???
