    So one of the guys at the club rocks up and says "I've got a dead lipo to kill". We are getting pretty bored of stabbing them, using a 6inch nail gun, shorting them, shooting them, joking them together in series etc, so decided to put it on my old crappy IMAX B5 charger on NiMH mode It started like this:



    Half hour later it looked like this:



    Literally about 3 seconds after I took this pic, it split the foil open, and with a little provocation, it erupted with 2ft high flames! Great fun

        I was going to, but it took half hour to charge to that point, so it was anyone's guess when it would go! Apparently he has another, and we have another plan involving 2 car batteries and no chargers, which should yield results way quicker

          Ha, Its a great way of showing new people to the hobby what not to do. Hope you got your fusion smart guard away before it blew!

              24v into a lipo should be fun to watch on a tv
              so video it please

              and lets hope the lipo goes up and not the 2 12v batteries

                    I always enjoy seeing new and inventive ways of dealing with dead lipo's safely. Defo need video's next time though

                      Well I'm sorry guys but it has to be said!

                      That club bench could have been burnt to a cinder! Jamie showed no regard whatsoever about where his club mates would sit if the sun ever comes out!
