How hot does your motor get? (electric boys only :)
Just to update this, I beat the hell out of my Goblin yesterday, for 4:30 at 2200rpm, and the motor was literally Luke warm to touch. You could happily hold your hand on it all day long at that temperature! I would plug your castle link in to the esc, google the esc settings for the 700mx, and check them against yours. It has to be something simple like timing or governor mode etc. How tight have you set your motor belt tension? I followed the manual, allowing the springs to take the slack, then just pulled it back slightly with light pressure and tightened the side and top bolts. Over-tightening this could easily cause excess drag and generate more heat than it should.
cheers, yeh motor mesh seems fine.im going to play around with the gov gain, motor pwm and esc timing settings.
It doesnt auto great after 10 flights either so will possibly try a little more wd40 on the gear mesh for the next flight.
Funnily enough I had my one way seize on the Goblin after 10 flights. I took the pulley and gear assembly out yesterday, found that it was just very dry. I cleaned and re-lubed it with triflow grease, but I found that when I refitted the bolt through the slant pinion, it tightened up again. All I did was take the gear out with the OWB inside it, and rubbed the 2 brass spacers on some 180 sand paper very lightly. It's now a nice fit, and doesn't tighten up when installed. Hopefully it will be done now

Ive got the same on mine.It looks like the tail pulley just rubs on the one way bearing brass shim when the heli autos,i would have thought there should be a bearing between then rather than just metal on metal.
