Choice - Belt CP or Falcon 400SE
    Guys,

I am new to this world of RC helis, but I am keen to purchase one.

I wondered what your opinions are on either of thiose 2 options:

Both are brand new and about the same price:

    Falcon 400 SE

    E-Sky Belt CP

I know that there is a different on the heck rotator as one is belt and the other is shaft drive.

    What are your thoughts?

I'd rather have a Trex than either of those two IMHO

Why, what makes the trex so much better?

Personally I don't like the T-rex myself but, as stated above those are the reasons why it makes a better choice than the ones you originally posted.

Price, Cheap spares, Availability of spares and also importantly a HUGE online community of Trex fliers to get tips tricks and advice from just not the ones on Runryder

              Sao,

Come on tell us, why don't you like the 'Rex?

You build it, set up your transmitter and it works, day in day out!, no fuss no hassle. It will fly as long as you can supply the batteries for it!

Hey, where d'you learn to fly? I saw you shoot your rocket
              up.............. into the sky.

Hey, I heard you set the pace, I never thought I'd see you back................ in this old place!

Because I come from the Old school of 'proper' micro helis, not midi helis masquerading as micro helis :P, and when the Trex first came out, and I'm not pulling punches here, It was shit.
The design needed changing from the get go, it's gone thru a lot of those now and currently it's probably at the top of its game.
It also when first released had bad parts quality but as with the design, that has gone through some revisions and now seems to be all but a distant memory.

But the TREX is about twice the cost of my options ...... ;O)

Ok how about considering this age old piece of advice....
                    Buy cheap = Buy twice......

Now are your options expensive compared to a Trex?

                      I'm still a bit puzzled
You don't like the old Trex, I understand that - but do you like the new Trex though?
It doesn't masquerade as anything - it is the heli it is
I agree, the original Trex wasn't the best - far from it - I wouldn't go as far as to say it was shit though... certainly not very good

The current Trex 450S and, of course, the SE V2 are fantastic heli's in my opinion.

                      Cheers,

No not really, it's neither one nor the other, its too big to be a micro and too small to fly outside on windier days. It's an odd ball to me. Like I said I started on Micros and was an Avid Hornet flier so therefore I am a Trex hater.
It's like the Ford guy hates the Vauxhall guy, there is no rhyme or reason to it I just don't like 'em. I don't like the head design, the look of the canopy, the swash set up, the tail set up the never ending new and improved models and I still believe that the parts quality isn't quite up to the more expensive makes.
I'll take my Roxxter 11 over a Trex any day of the week thank you very much

                            That's pretty much it.
It's like the Knight v Trex v Raptor v Other 50 sized helis discussions
One person will prefer one over the other but the next guy will have a totally different opinion
