Trex 500 ESP alternative frame options

Well, I put my 500 in good the other week and have just had it sat in the corner waiting for me to get round to sorting it. It's already a pricey one as I need a new tail gearbox which adds a bit to the cost.

Unfortunately, I've just noticed that I've done a frame for the first time ever! Looking at the options I can either get the standard frames for the ESP, although they're not the cut down version. I cut my original frames down to accomodate the larger lipos. Or I can get the Hobbyking 500GT frame which looks ok. Or I was wondering if it's possible to buy the 500 Pro frames and transfer all my gear over to that? I know it uses different mounts but not sure if it's compatible in anyway.

Any help much appreciated (also, donation of parts greatly received )

have a look at rjx, they do 600esp frames in 2mm g10 as stiff you like and pretty cheap. do proberly do 500 as well.

yeh they do 1.6mm FRP Black ones for £24 the pair looks like out of stock at moment

Yes mate I need a tail gearbox. Either the standard ESP or the Pro version would be fine, whatever you have! I don't know what else I would need to get the Pro frames to work with my other parts, i.e., battery tray, bottom tray, tail boom gearbox etc. It might be a bit of a nightmare to get it to work. Probably just stick to the standard ones tbh.

I think you would need the whole set of frame parts if using Pro frames. I am currently selling a load of 500 Pro parts on Ebay including all the bits you would need. I could do a deal for you depending on what you buy. I have just the pro frames for sale on here though.
