What's the blade 450 x like?

I am looking at bigger helis, to get me back into the hobby, ie 500 or 600, when funds allow, but I was wondering how many of you have flown or own the new 450 x, and what's its like, as at £340 ish it seems like a good price, but is it worth it as a practice work horse?

It's a great little heli kev

In calm conditions , it flies like a bigger heli (500 size )

I fly mine on stock setting , only turning the piro rate down a little,

But for the money ,it can't be beaten


The beastx has a lot to do with it

Buy one , you won't regret it,
Also parts are cheap , except main blades , but just fit some aligns :-)

It flies great in high winds too. I have stock settings and I too have turned down the tail. The only gripe is the plastic canopy that doesn't accept Lipos very easily, so I drilled some holes a little further back.

The 450 X is a brilliant heli it flies in all conditions & even autos.
Take a look at the videos from a post I put up on a private forum.

Yup some (read most) were arrivals but it took the abuse so well.
It's very like the mcpx in that if hold is hit early enough the damage to the heli is minimal if damaged at all. I got a little disoriented with mine & got into a side on half piro nose down at less than six foot last weekend.
I hit hold & let it fall onto the grass thinking I'd broke it but I picked it up dusted it down & flew it as there was no damage what so ever.

I love my 450X the best 450 I have flown. I still haven't adjusted anything at all from out of the box, well tell a lie I did change the main gear after getting a bit close to the ground with some crops..

I also done about 20 inverted autos with it yesterday at the grass roots comp (after), the heli held up really well as anyone watching will say. Landing gear's the same as gorilla gear - stock!
