Keith if you look in the blade 400 section there is a sticky thread called blade 400 and dx6i settings the first post explains how to check and set up the swash correctly.

All very good advice guys but a reversed pitch servo will give a similar fault, better to check it over than start changing settings, cos I've found once you start messing it can turn into a right ball ache getting it back.

The blade 400 works out of the box. There is a manual and a download if you don't have it. Did the heli work ok when you got it and then did you change something? If you've changed the servos for a different make then you probably need to change the servo direction in the tx.

There are a lot of settings that can be screwed up and you need to go through them from the start and understand them all.

The cyclic servos are confusing because there isn't one servo that does one job. There are three servos. One each side of the centre line and one on the centre line. The ones either side are the only ones that can do roll or aileron. The one on the centre line can't do aileron.

These are the connections from the manual

AILE – Lower rear-mounted swashplate control “aileron” servo
ELEV – Forward-mounted swashplate control “elevator” servo
RUDD – Rear-mounted tail rotor pitch control “rudder” servo
AUX1 – Upper rear-mounted swashplate control “pitch” servo

Also the directions for stock servos

              THRO – N (Normal)
              AILE – R (Reverse)
              ELEV – N (Normal)
              RUDD – R (Reverse)
              PITC – N (Normal)

              And the swash settings

              AILE -75%
              ELEV -75%
              PITCH +85%

This is the manual. Worth having in pdf as you can find things easily.

              http://www.e-fliterc.com/ProdInfo/Fi...nual_loRes.pdf

If you find this confusing don't worry, lots of people do. The main thing is that with aileron only two servos move in opposite directions. With elevator two either side move in the same direction and the one on the centre line moves in the opposite way. With cyclic they all move together in the same direction keeping the swash plate flat, with right hand stick in the middle.

Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.

follow this through keith, then no matter what servo's your using youll know its all in the right direction

set throttle hold or better still disconnect the motor then

move the throttle stick up and down. all three servo's should move together,as you raise the stick the swash should fall. as you lower it the swash should rise.( if there is a problem go to the reverse menu in the set up list and alter the pitch/airl/elev servo's till they all work together in the same direction.

                now the right stick.
                stand behind the heli.
each movement of the right stick should move the swash the same. eg forward tilts the swash forward etc. if you have a problem go to the swash mix menu. you will see the 3 values set with either a + or - %
if the swash tips back instead of forwards change the value of the elev mix to opposite what it is now set at(eg from +60% to -60%)
if the swash tips right instead of left change the airl value to opposite.
if the swash tips at an angle when you apply forward stick change the pitch mix value to opposite
