  • Hi again guys! Raptor advice again!

Hi guys, I'm back! Sorry I haven't been on here for a fair few months but I haven't been flying RC for a while but now i'm back into it! I have come to the conclusion that selling my V1 raptor is the best bet as it is out of my budget and skills to get it airworthy. I was just wondering what sort of money I could expect to get from it? It has a CSM gyro and the servos, also it has an OS 37 engine that is a really nice runner. It needs a new swash plate as it has too much slack and has had a frame repair. The frame its self is better for spares tbh. I am wanting to get another 450 in an airworthy condition and learn to fly it properly as with the others I just rushed into it and crashed them all straight away cause i didn't set them up properly and tried to run before i could walk so to speak. Would anybody know of anyone who would be interested in doing a straight swap? I looked around and the OS 37 is worth around £70 alone. Any advice/comments would be great! Thanks people and it will be great to hear from you all again!
    Thanks,
    Jake!

    Hi Jake

You would probably get about £100 for it with the damage/repair.

Here's a somewhat identical one that went on ebay but without the damae: Raptor 30 Good Condition | eBay

You're probably better off splitting it depending on the servos etc.

What about an MCPX V2? If you look around on here you can get them for around £65-70, and crashes are pretty much free .

Jake, I think you will struggle to get £70 for an OS37 in new condition never mind second hand. The Hyper 50 just brings that sort of money in excellent condition.

If it were me I would stick it on ebay and hope for the best. With everyone changing to FBL setups gyros even CSM ones don't bring too much. Put a reserve price on it, close to what you think it might be worth

Thanks for the advice, a guy emailed me months ago it seems and asked if I was selling it, I wish I saw it then!
        Thanks,
        Jake!

OS 37 would probably get about £40 I'd say, depending on condition etc. The airframe itself is as you say probably useful for spares, + a few quid here and there for servo's and other bits.
If you let me know the exact spec I might know someone who is interested.

Its got JR NES- 517, Futaba S3003 and Futaba FP-S148 on the cyclics and a JR NES-517 on the tail. Its got a CSM icg 400 gyro.
            Thanks,
            Jake!

Yeah, so all electrics are pretty dated really (I've got a shed load of them in some old models myself)
Let me know if you decide to split it all as I might be interested in the engine/silencer , but think the rest isn't much good for what I had in mind.

How much would you be willing to pay for the engine and silencer?
                Thanks,
                Jake!
