It's the drivers! I thought my Align drivers were good, until I bought a set of EDS ones.

They are a perfect fit, with minimal slop. Best £26 I have spent!

I definitely didn't pay that amount, so there maybe a set of them on the site at a reduced rate.

I've never stripped a bolt yet with Align hex tools, they are superb.

Absolutely! I've used them on many many helis and they're still going strong! Great value.

In comparison to EDS, Hudy, MIP; they really aren't. Alright for the money though.

A tool - if it does what it's meant well and lasts a long time what more is there to need? If I had a problem with 'em I wouldn't be using them as there are plenty of options out there.

A Blade 400 does what its meant to, and lasts a long time. Doesn't mean there isn't better out there.

So what do your tools do better than the Align ones then?

I suspect with the higher end tools they are manufactured to finer tolerances? All I know is, the Aligns are good enough for me! I was considering an EDS 1.5mm simply for the fact that it's longer than the Align and can be handy to have a longer one. Not the others though.

When assembling, too much torque, too much threadlock = rounding of the bolt recess when trying to loosen it. 10 seconds or so on the bolt head, but not near plastic parts, with a 25W soldering iron'll soften the threadlock enough for easy removal. Align hex drivers are as good as they get without being ridiculously expensive, and Align bolts are also good enough as long as you don't overdo it.

Trex 450 SEV2, hack, freeby, but getting expensive. Binned the bu**er !

mCPX, better than a Phoenix anyday.
                            Several planks, gathering dust.

Brains and thumbs work okay, but not at the same time.

Rather than a 1.5mm hex bit, try a 1/16" hex bit (1.58mm). You might find this provides a far tighter fit.

Yes - the Align drivers have always seemed fine to me.

OTSO heat, I'm bothered about damaging parts. Quite a few of the bolts on the 450 Pro are near plastic, so you do get that problem.

Currently, I'm selective on what I threadlock, and regularly check the various frame bolts.
