  • decent 3S lipo for 450?

Its been a while since I flew my 450 regularly. My last bettery purchase was some loongmax tipple 25C 2300 3S "5C charge". These werre impressive but only at the start of the pack, power quickly tailed off (though they didn't seem to get too hot). However after a year or so they are now very poor and I estimate they did less than 20 cycles each cos I don't fly the 450 much.

I only charged them at 1C, but I did leave them full for ages.

Whats a good 450 3S lipo these days? I don't know what to buy...

I have the V2 scorpion 55A (the one with no soft start) and a scorpion hk2221-8 on 13T. I could go 4S with this setup on an 11 or 12T?

Is it 1800 4S people use? what duration do you get? I'm flying pretty hard I guess...into the ground fairly often as well (as demonstrated at Park Hall on Saturday ).

Personally have used, flight powers, tipples, align, and by far my favorite in the 450 is the turnigy 2200 3s. Done the most cycles and performed great.just because there cheap does not make them bad, if they where sold in the UK you would have too add the VAT, import cost and the shop making his mark up. There fantastic value for money imo

Turnigy 2200 3s used here too - can get them for under £14 delivered within a couple of days. Never puffed, always solid performers.

Same for me - Turnigy and Zippy. Turnigys just seem to go on and on - should be renamed Duracell.
