48 packs through the 450 Pro this weekend

Well put 48 packs through the 450 3GX Pro this weekend after finishing the setup and WOW I finally feel I'm progressing

I can hover steady for 1 min tail in and can hold it in a left and right hover albeit a touch messy. Also had a few good circuits and 1 ok ish figure of 8 out of 5. Also started to get my landings soft and controlled (about 9 out of 10 times).

All the advice and sim practise paying off.

Thanks everyone. Well I finally got the Heli setup so planned the weekend well and managed to get in some decent flying time. I was quite impressed by how many packs I managed to get through it and the progression has put me on top of the world lol. Almost the same as the MCPx level.

Tonight and tomorrow evening will be spent checking the Heli over and giving it a good clean ready for Tuesday.

Fair play, I bet that took some doing.

I managed 6 1/2 packs and now have two broken Helis

My Blade 450 toppled on a landing now needs new feathering shaft.

After rebuilding my new 550e and bench set I took it out for a test flight that ended in two broken tail blades and two stripped tail gears. So much for having it set up correctly, knew I should have got it checked over but just couldn't wait!!!! I'll get it back together and get it checked over this time.

On the Bright side my 450 sport is still in one piece

Some careful planning always pays off I will end up paying for it in the long run.....

I just checked the head over and found a loose feathering shaft bolt so have stripped it all out and re greased and thread locked everything all ready for tuesday. Going to check the tail tomorrow evening and then a quick flight to make sure everything is tip top.

Does anyone use oil on the torque tube gears? If so will silicone oil be ok?

I bet I didn't put that many packs through all my helis together last year if you discount my mCP X.

48 packs, assuming you fly 5mins equals 240 minutes divided by 60mins equals four hours. That is some stick time.:thumbup:

48 packs in a weekend! holy shit mate, did you not sleep??? i was a the field both days and only managed 9 heli flights total (not counting planks)

48 flights is pretty impressive! keep it up at that rate and by the end of this season you'll be giving mr Szabo a run for his money
