We would also do well to remember that the opposite is also true, so in winter all our packs become 'bad' as the temperature falls and their IR rises.

In winter, I use the thermal bags with heat packs inside to keep them warm.

It doesn't completely fix the issue but if all else fails we could always break out the nitro...

I think I know where these so called "new" packs are manufactured. As with every single brand of LiPo on the market, these are just a re-branded something else. I've been out of the game for the past few months moving country, but I have a good idea on the makeup of these packs without even testing one due to their dimensions and weight.

I promise everyone reading this post that there isn't a pack on the market that is capable of anything more than 35C. I've tested literally hundreds of packs and never found one yet! The technology where it stands today just isn't capable of anything beyond.

A good 6s 5000 pack in my experience when measured accurately will read 1.5 mili ohms per cell. A really good one will read slightly lower. The Wayne Giles meter is the most accurate, but if you have an iCharger or PL charger, they'll give you good idea, too and at least point out poor cells. Just remember when taking readings that your packs need to be at room temp for 24 hours to get a realistic reading. A few degrees either way give significantly different readings.

The problem I've found with every brand of pack is cell consistency. This includes your high end brands just as much as the lower ones. But judging by the HK experience someone has already had with these, they'll ship anything and hope you don't complain! Get a good one and you'll think they're great, get a bad one and you'll think bad of the brand forever.

The problem is, in order to get a fair representation of every brand and company who sells them, you'd need to buy 20 packs of each to get a fair and true representation of the product and company. Of course that never happens and as result we here mixed feelings about each product based only a handful of packs.

I'm not trying to sell anything here as I'm out of the game today, but I will say make sure which ever brand you buy, go with a reputable company who at least checks their cells before sending them out. There's no excuse for people continually receive puffy cells in the post. It can happen, but in the three years I sold packs, I think it happened less than a handful of times.

Interested to see the outcome with these, but at an educated guess I'm going for 25-30C.

A guy in our club who has a monster 700 has some of these turnigy nano's and after a flight they get extremely hot and puff up massively, yet the same copter with run with opti power 50c or 30c cells the cells don't puff nor do they get hot enough to burn you. He reckons HK should be giving the turnigy nanos away for free.

Interesting,i was running a KDS motor in my Agile 7.2 which was faulty and the Kosmik log showed it pulling over 200A routinely with peaks of 440A.
                300A in a full climb,every flight logged LED flash errors,had 2 shutdowns.
Opti packs came down very hot as did Kosmik and cables,EC5s etc BUT when i flew with 65c A spec nanotechs they came down pretty cool but connectors,Kosmik etc was still as hot.

Sent it back to supplier and fitted Pyro 800 and now peaking 200A at most now everything cool.
