  • AR7200BX As tail only gyro? Computer Linkup?

    Hi all,

I am looking at getting a AR7200BX for initially a flybarred 450, but then in 6 months time going to FBL. So my question is can I use the AR7200BX as a tail only gyro for now?

Also can you tune your settings on the computer?

It says nothing in the manual so I would initially say no. You defo can't tune settings on the pc, get a standard BeastX in order to both of the above. I ahve repeatedly asked Horizon/spectrum when they will launch software to tune without reply so I will be returning to Rx and BeastX

          This ^^^

I can't fault the Quark in any way. I have it on a 450 and a 700 and although I can't push them to anywhere near their limit (probably never will), a friend of mine (who can fly) put the 700 through its paces, and I doubt I'll ever need a 'better' gyro.

Actually, I tell a lie... I wish I could use the transmitter to change between setup modes like I can with the old 760, instead of pressing a button that I've all but hidden with the placement of the gyro...

Actually... I've got the perfect solution, and hear me out on this one, because it makes perfect sense!

Give me a shout in 6 months time and I'll swap your AR7200BX for my Quark!

how about just get a tarot zyx for less than £35 including shipping and get the align DFC head - total cost will be less than £80!
that's what i'm rocking on my 450 right now! but still too windy to fully test it.
oh - get the USB dongle ($3 if you do get one from hobbyking - makes setting up much much easy!!!)

Actually, you can! It is not mentioned in the user guide because the radio switch toggling was a technical support nightmare (as simple as it may be when you understand how your radio works). The method is identical to the ds760 but also mentioned here for completeness: http://www.spartan-rc.com/resources/faq/faq.php?topic=101

Not only that, but the reverse also works... setting up the ds760 with a button. http://www.spartan-rc.com/resources/...q.php?topic=74
