  • Align step down and 2 way step down

They publish similar pic and woiring diagrams for:
    K10333A 5.1V Align Step-Down Voltage Regulator
    and
    K10381A 5.1V Two-way Step-down Voltage Regulator

what is the difference between these?
I assume one has two independant servo channels through it.
That wouldn't help me as I want to put one between gyro and 9254, and one between receiver and my 5v only collective pitch servo. ie the two devices need to be at opposite ends of the heli.

    Hi

They make two step downs or "voltage droppers" might be a better name, the first one is designed for single servo use so typically between the gyro and tail servo, the later one in capable of up to 5amp so can be used on just the tail or between the regulator and reciever to drop the voltage to all servo's, only needed for guys using crappy JR servo's:-)))

how many amps is the single one good for?

By the size of the diode I would reckon on no more than 2 amps. If you want more just go and purchase a silicon diode that can handle the current you need and wire it in its forward conducting orientation. It will drop 0.7 of a volt.

I'm using the two way one on gyro only

Why is it two way ?
What does the two way do ?

            Hi Gordon

Not sure how many amps the single use one can handle but enough for a tail servo, it is single servo use only, if your concerned about it use the 5amp one in stead.

                  Aaaahhh......ha........

The two way allows you to use the cable either way round

                  The single doesn't!!!
But when you connect the single for the gyro servo you need it the other way round

From regulator needs to plug into cable socket end, then receiver

From gyro's socket plugs into cable plug then cable socket to servo plug

So you can't use the single for both
                  Or am I wrong again
