They don't come on too early. They come on at the right time and are telling you that you are screwing your lipo. They are telling you to warm up the lipo before use, or use a better battery, or fly for 1 min gently, let the battery warm through, then continue.Flasher 450 Sport. Wonderful information from everybody, it does make this hobby something special having people willing to help out when problems arise, More bits on order... its a big learning curve, not just the flying.

You'll get plenty of advice. Some of it may be useful. Nobody knows how to keep lipos going, but we have all found ways of destroying them. One manufacturer (Optipower) does give a 6 months guarantee. LiFe batteries are much better in many ways but not so popular as although they last longer and are safer they are a bit heavier and so the aerobatic performance will not be so good. Lipos are much better now, but very few, if any batteries, can be run at the continuous C rate that are claimed. Running 25C batteries for 6 minutes (10C) does seem to work well. I'm afraid there is no hope of getting off the learning curve, but you will be able to crash with more authority as you improve. As soon as you get to grips with things, something new comes out and you are off again.Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.

I guess you just have to look at lipos as fuel.
The faster and harder you drive and the less care you take - the more fuel you need.
Expensive packs may last longer and perform better - but not necessarily and then only if you treat them right.
Use and abuse, and pay for the fun is one way. Careful batt management is another.
Either way lipos are just a fuel like any other fuel - and Ass, Grass or Brass ..... nobody rides for free!Trex 450 SEV2
