Well the postman didn't deliver anything today. So as of this moment I am still out of pocket.
Sorry Andy I thought I had seen an exchange of phone numbers mentioned and PM's mentioned in the other thread before it was moved!

Glad we have a resolution now though!

Glad the issue is FINALLY resolved.

Stuart, whilst I understand why you, and others, might want this thread closed/removed, I personally think it should remain within the generally available archive.

One of the parties was a fault, I don't know which it was, but if similar issues arise in the future for either of them, everyone will be able to see the history of this particular, sad, situation.
          Janek

Why does it always persist down at weekends ?

Agreed, else it's just another version of RunRyder, which is why many have come here in the first place.

Oops, shouldn't have said that, I've not amassed that many posts myself.

I guess it just needs locking really. I wasn't being a pain I just failed to see why it needed to be hidden. Either it was going to get resolved like it has or all users would be able to read it and decide whether they would be prepared to deal with Steve in the future. I have no bone to pick with him it was just the fact that it was magicked away that annoyed me...strains of RR

I know we shouldn't air our dirty linen in public but sometimes it works better than beating around the bush, no one likes being attacked for whatever reason

You have to remember that when people post in moments of frustration anger is usually the force behind it and more often than not certain elements can have a legal implication, not just on the person but the forum administrator.

I have to keep a balance view and watch to the thread to try and make sure it doesn't get out of hand. Now the fact that both parties has seemed to reach a conclusion and for the benefit of a third partie that was dragged into it. I move it (NOT DELETED) out of public view and I PM Andy to ask for an update. He has access to the thread as the original starter of it...

Unlike RR I just don't delete I look for a resolution and try were possible to if needs be move a thread to my personal forum at present it only holds three other threads. This way I keep post count intact only in extreme circumstances will I delete a thread and only after discussing it with the thread originator, who for me holds the rights over the thread.

I didn't ask Smoothound to delete the thread only close the topic as it was resolved to a greater degree and it seemed pointless carrying on what was in effect an issue between two members not anyone else.

Most members with issues will use PM's, I even get a few a week on site issues some I can fix in a beat others will take sometime, but I generally get through it.

Recently Wildcat fuels was shouting legal action due to members comments and after speaking with the thread originator I altered any personal comments about the distributor, but the thread remains in public view. Now if this was RR it would have dis-appeared in a blink of an eye.

I took what I see as a fair approach for the benefit of the forum and its members as whole. If you find a thread vanishing in the future talk to me.
                    Cheers
                    Stuart

It is set at GMT, also remember in your Control panel, members can also set time zones.
