The Fleet

I finally got the heli fleet mostly ready for the air, just a little bit of work to do on the T-rex 700 and I'm ready for the good weather (if it ever comes), so I thought I'd get a picture of them all together while they're still... all together, because it might be the last time they're all in one piece.

I think this is becoming more of an addiction than a hobby.

The 700 started life as an FBL, but I decided I wanted a proper 'old school' nitro, so I bought a flybarred head for it and used the 3GX unit on one of the other helis.

I've always been an IC freak, so while I can still get hold of nitro fuel, I'll stick with it for the big helis... well, at least until such time as I don't need thousands of sheckels tied up in LiPos

Nice pic of the fleet! I wouldn't worry about the addiction of "collecting" helicopters. I call it an insurance policy! If one goes in, you've still plenty to fly! And it would be one hell of a bad day if you put them all in on the same day (not to say that it doesn't happen though!).

One on the left is a Vision 90.

Not my models so can't be sure, but the middle looks to be a Trex 700 going off of the caddy and headblock, but the canopy looks like a Flasher 700. The others looks like 450 pros and and a TRex 700.

The one on the left is a Vision 90. I bought the airframe from one of the lads on here. It's like brand new, and like Planehazza said, it's very underrated. It's a much nicer build than the T-Rex and seems better engineered. The two little ones are Flasher 450s, the one in the middle is a Flasher 700 and the one on the right is a T-Rex 700.

I swapped the FBL head off the T-Rex 700 onto the Flasher 700 and bought a flybarred head for the T-Rex, mainly because I didn't want to jump straight onto a FBL 700 heli... small steps

I bought the T-Rex 700 as Xmas present for myself, it was my first heli, and the others just seemed to keep appearing, and strangely enough, it was about the same time my bank account started getting lighter

I've gotta say, I'm loving the Spartan gyros. They're making flying a lot more fun.
