Just a rant about the weather, only need it to stop rain for two days every 5 days! Is it really that much to ask!!!! Getting withdrawal symptoms now!

April is never flyable due to winds and rain, at least in SE.

Wait till mid May, it will be better if we are lucky.

don't worry, i work on a wind farm and i decided a year ago to move closer to my job. problem is when its calm and nice i go out and work long days maintaining the turbines. when its windy and horrible i get really short days and don't do much work. so when i can fly i have to work and when i cant fly i dont work.

i havent flown due to the weather for 3 weeks now whichis getting tiresome

I fly year round so if its not raining im ready to fly, after you've flown few times in the winds you begin to enjoy it, yesterday was very windy & done few packs but it very difficult to do a lot of the 3D stuff but sports flying was real good fun.

The wind is never an issue it was when I started out but I thought I would never get out so I fly in almost any wind! It's just the rain that does my head in!

I thought we were able to get out this morning then rain in the afternoon, I am shocked....

I did hear the weatherman say rain in the afternoon so I was shocked when I woke up and it was raining, as it unlike them to get it wrong!

I am utterly disgusted now. I didn't get to fly last weekend and now today the forecast shows 'heavy rain' all the way across, not even the slightest glimmer of hope. Last time I checked it still looked good for Monday and if that is still the case I'll do some work over the weekend and take Monday off to go fly.

And here's where electric power has it's downside, I have all these Lipos sitting here charged, so do I now put them on storage charge or risk leaving them in the hope I'll be able to fly Monday! They have already been sitting charged since last weekend :-(

I would if it was closer but if I'm going to shlep all my stuff down there I need to at least have some hope of flying (and ideally not getting soaked getting there). So I'm going to have to stay in today unless things change and a slim chance to get over to Epsom Downs or something, but I'm not holding my breath :-(. 'Very very dissapointed.

I've only done 3 flights in the last 3 weeks as the weather, or a hangover but mainly the weather , has stopped me from flying.

Had reasonable hopes for this morning because I woke up to glorious sunshine, a decent blue sky and no wind, but now the wind has picked up and it's overcast it looks like it's going to rain before too long

I think having a Monday club is the only answer, at least I got myself 3 pints of maggots yesterday so tomorrow its fishing and it can rain all it likes......
