  • Cellpro 10's charging+ 6 cell lipos

Ok so i decided just to get a cellpro 10's with a 12v 400w psu, just hooked it up to see if all okay, which it is, but im a bit unsure what leads go where .
I plug the blocker into the two charger channels, as im only charging off the balance lead, the lipo then into the balance board which plugs into channel 1 on the charger. I select 1c in the menu then let the charger do the rest? does the cellpro detect the cell count and capacity itself?

    just checking

I think you will find that when charging a 6S pack you need a board that has leads plugging into both balance connectors on the charger and then the board will have a 6S balance connector.

If you have a 6 cell lipo then the balance board should be plugged into both channels as it is only 5 cells on each channel (hence 10S).

Also if you only use the balance lead for charging then you are going to be limited to around 4A regardless of pack size so that may be less than 1C for you.

Aside from that, yes, it will check the cell count and estimate the 1C rate for itself.

With a 6s you need to plug both the leads out of the balance board into both 10s outlets.

The bottom lead out (with the leads coming out of the balance board to the left) goes into channel one & the other into channel 2.

Set 2 pack charging by using the mode button. Check the chemistry is LiPo & that it is set at 1c (all using the mode button) and press start to get it going.

        Great charger.
        Happy Landings.

Did it not come with an instruction manual?

I typed this into Google "cellpro 10s instruction manual". You can also download the manual from the FMA website.

LOL, I nearly did it to a 6's pack, just charging 5 cells instead of 6
I've been trying to get the two new turnigy lipos I got from hk and there massively out of balance cells back in balance. The charger entered "safe" mode on one of the channels, which im guessing is the out of balance cell. The others are around 3.98ish this is slowly creeping up at 3.87, I'm only using the balance lead so I cant check for I.R settings through the discharge lead. It was around 55mins charging so I just stopped the charge as I seemed to be getting no where fast
I have another pack stuck at 3.90 on one cell any suggestions on getting these packs in balance again? Maybe a discharge to storage and back to a full charge again?

Out of 5 6's 3000 packs from HK only three look to be ok, got to give the opti's a go

Whether it came with a manual or not its always good to double check something you are unsure of, its better being safe than sorry. Even more so when dealing with Lipo's me thinks - 6 Cell batteries still scare me a little when charging, charged them 3 times so far and just get a bad vibe but do love this charger!

To clear things up, cellpros do not come with a paper manual in the box; you have to download them all.
