  • Raptor X50SE or T-rex 600 V2 ???

OK I had thought about another 600E heli after selling my original T-rex600E but flight times and battery costs are seriously putting me off.

I'm on my 5th align Heli with 2 I'm keeping a 450sev2 and a 700N and I love them both and will eventually be getting the latest 450 when I can.

I'm selling my rappy 30v2 and my rappy60v2 both with loads of upgrades but until looking at the new x50se I'd never really considered getting another.

I feel I really need a 50 size machine to practice on the 450 is great but it just doesn't have the feeling of a bigger heli.

So whats the opinions on the x50se Vs the 600n v2?

The gear for each heli is gonna be pretty much the same but if anyone wants to put up their setup then go ahead.

The new TT X50 is a very light heli its very nimble & has some very inovative features in its build it's a little new for there to be many horror stories about it but one i have is that the tail control rod sheared in flight on the one I built for a freind I think this was due to a very nasty tt 56 engine that wouldnt run well.
The align 600 v2 is typicaly Align it flies nice but it's not available in flybarless yet which I think is a trick Align have missed out on the new features are just a gloss on whats a very good platform it has a new pushrod & a new radio tray & uses the boom tube stay from the trex 700.
I fit were my money what would I buy? I would buy the TT but would leave the TT 56 well alone & put a ys or os 55/56 in it.

having owned and flown a 600n and the x50 nitro
i would have the x50 any day over a trex 600

      edit
my x50 has an os50 hyper as power and its not lacking in the power dept
with an os55/ys56 it would be a power house

I like OS engines but would consider a YS if the price for the engine and muffler were ok.

This may be a while away yet as I need to sell some stuff first but nowt wrong with getting ideas. ;-)

I have the X50 TT. It's a fantastic heli. The build was great and the heli is very light and precise in flight. A mate I fly with has a rappy 50 and he can't believe just how much more hang time I get from autos on the X50. I'm really enjoying it and would definitely say you can't really go wrong with it. I have the redline 53 engine which in my opinion takes too much fiddling to get it right. If I was to buy an engine again I'd steer clear of the thunder tiger ones but other than that I love it!

Seems like the engine is the let down here on yours & my mates.
I have heard of someone fitting an os carb onto the tt 53 / 56 & I do have a spare
kicking about here hmmmm, dare I do some fiddling.

I've got it running quite nicely (well it was the last time I flew it!) but it is constant adjustments. The first flight of the day seems to be a tuning flight with it. There's more than enough power there but like I say it's fiddly! Just depends on how much you like fiddling!
