  • Advice Please??

Hi Guys, a quick hello as this is my first post on here and straight into a question .

With christmas approaching i have been racking my brain for a present for my dad, i have decided on a RC helicopter, however have not a clue where to start (i have had a quick look in the beginners section but thought i would ask my question here). I need a electric helicopter for my dad, who has no experience with rc helicopters and need to get the best available to suit this but..... with a limit of £100 .

Another forum has advised me to go for is the lama esky v3, but this forum looks better and its always worth getting a second opinion.

    Any advise guys much appriciated!!

    Cheers
    Sam

defo would suggest a contra rotating heli... these are easy to fly and so will cause him the least hasle and hopefully get him hooked on the things!

best one around atm is the blade CX2, i think its £130 ish...not completly sure!

    good luck!

Likewise I'd push the boat out a little more and get a Blade CX2, best there is at the mo. You can get one here for £117 http://www.barnstormersmodelsonline....gory_id=168622

Search around tho, you may bet em cheaper.

yea the JP Twister is where i started, but you will probably find he will crash more than the blade CX heli.

heheh yea i just remembered the jp twister uses those horrible tail motors that burn out after about 2 hours of flying. ive never had a bell 47 or a belt driven tail rotor yet but motors are deffo a pain in the ass.

Flog something on ebay and get the extra for a blade, it's the best option and would be better in the long run.

I have the robins 22 and its fine, I wouldnt go for the lama v3 its old now id go for one of the newer ones and maybe get him a spare battery with the cash you have left,
Altho i have to say as the others have if you can squeeze the extra cash from some where the blade cx is the best option, Which ever you get im sure your dad will have a lot of fun with it this christmas
