I've just had 2 batts delivered with no problems. Always use registered air mail, on the 2 occasions I've used EMS parcel farce got them and put their own charge onto of the customs charge.
Apart from that I've never had a problem in dozens of orders.

i always use the standard registered shipping method and always leave the customs declaration at the default. never had an issue with customs with 90 odd orders.

Ill see if i can get an answer from HK with regards to when the batteries will be back in stock in Germany before buying from HK.

Depends how much you spend I guess. Batteries are not too bad but I bought a 250 once from HK and I had to supply my paypal receipt, cost me £30 more than if I bought in the UK. Hey ho!

In 32 orders from HK I've never been hit, whereas a mate got hit on his 2nd order.
Personally, I split my orders to keep the declared value under $30, even then, customs aren't stupid and you may get hit, but I reckon if you have a parcel weighing more than a kilo or 2 and/or a declared value over $30 then you are more likely to get a charge.
Just my experience - not a rule.

I've got my third set of 4500 Turnigys stuck in customs at the moment.Should be delivered in the middle of the week hopefully. The other two have been delivered and I ended up paying £24.00 each package for duties.

The packages were undervalued at $69.00.

it seems no matter what i order or how low i make the value i always get hit with customs in the uk. the fee i pay them i dont think is too bad to be honest. the bit that really REALLY annoys me is that parcel force charge over £15 to collect what they were going to collect anyway. if there was some way of getting a different courier i would do it as i really HATE parcel force

Had four 2200 Zippies from DE recently, declared value on the label was £11 GBP, no customs and took 10 days to come. Down side is two weren't up to scratch from the off, but usable tho',

I made loads of orders and have been caught a few times: part of the game. If it's lots of smaller, lighter bits then I juggle about with parcel sizes and what's in stock and make it more than one order..preferably the royal mail option unless speed essential. The last order of bits was 4 parcels that all got through.
