  • trex 600 crash

Well it finally happened, managed to crash the 600n this morning. Had been doing great, all this nice flying weather. I had the 600 flying every nite this week, and progressing really well, even managed to get over the fear I had of nose-in yesterday. Then this morning decided to go out again, on my 3rd tank full managed to loose orientation in the light and down it came. I'm not happy about it but surprisingly I didnt get overly annoyed about it either.
Well back to the garage to rebuild and go again

Always a killer when you loose it in the light, late evening and clouding grey day always does it for me, bad luck hope rebuild goes well and you don't keep finding bits that have broken just when you have made that order!

      Stipdown so far :-

Main blades, feathering shaft, main shaft, flybar, 2x linkages, front tt gears, boom and the canopy.
Not sure if the canopy is fixable, or wether to give the heli a new look

Gutter. That's the right attitude though. Rebuild then get straight back out there! Arguably crashing is part of learning. Hope it's back flying soon.

Probably worth checking the main shaft bearings if you havent already, they was the ones I always forgot to check

As has been said previously, great attitude in just getting it rebuilt and going again.

Absolute bummer buddy. But I like your "Get back on the horse" attitude. It used to pee me off no end when I dumbed it, now I think the old saying that you can't make omelettes without cracking eggs is just as apt to heli flying. Mind you, eggs are cheaper. Ho hum.
