  • 600N main shaft for DFC head

Does anyone know of anyone that can cut and drill the 600 main shaft to fit the DFC head, didn't realized that the dfc 600 main shaft wont work on the 600n but i read that it can but done as in cutting the shaft to size to make it work, so if anyone can point me to the right direction that would be great thanks.

I cut the shaft with a 1mm cutting disc in a 4.5 " angle grinder and drilled the hole using an old shaft collar as a guide for the drill bit as I didnt have a pillar drill. The shaft is pretty hard but I went thru with a 1 mm bit first then a 2 then the 3 good luck ;-)

They don't do one, the dfc shaft is too short to reach the main gear

For who uses the standard mainshaft H60159:
          - chop 20mm off the top, then drill a hole 10mm down from the top

With the HN6118 shaft, this one is 9mm shorter than std so
          - take off 11mm form the top, and then a hole 10mm down from the top.

So however you measure it, it comes to a distance of 155.5 mm between top and bottom hole!

I had the same problem when I got a Dfc head for my 600 e, but I had a flybarless main shaft for a 600 n. This fitted ok just had to use the control links from the flybard head. I also had to alter the A frame on the elevator servo hope this helps cjs
