Any tips on how I go about learning these? Looks easy watching the sticks but I can't seem to get it right.

This is what worked for me.

Begin in a stationary tail-in, non-pirouetting hover at safe height.
Start to flip, in my case to the right, with aileron cyclic but also feed in some right tail, so both sticks rock to the right at the same time. As the model begins to roll and piro, move the cyclic stick diagonally forward and left so that it ends up with no aileron, just forward elevator. Hopefully the model will now be something like inverted and nose in. At this point release the tail and correct any remaining tlit or drift. Assuming you remembered to lower the collective, you're now in a nose-in, inverted hover. Do a straight flip back to normal and you're ready to try again. Practise this lots.

When you're happy with the first half you can try the second. From a stationary nose-in, inverted hover, rock both sticks together to start with, and then move the cyclic diagonally backwards and right so that it ends up with just back elevator. Release the tail as the model comes tail-in and hopefully you'll be somewhere close to an upright hover. Correct any drift and residual tilt if it didn't get all the way over. After you've practiced this lots you can string the two halves together to form a complete flip with one complete piro.

When you're cool with that lot, you can try starting the flip from an already pirouetting start and keeping the piro going between flips. Then string the flips together. Practise, practise, practise.

What has never worked for me is any attempt to consciously move the cyclic stick in a circular motion.

Hope this helps. I'm sure other people have other ways.

It's difficult because your brain doesn't want to hold rudder and add/take-off pitch whilst moving the cyclic.

        Try this:
