  • 600 electrics

Other than the trex 600e what other options are there?

I am looking for something larger and more stable than my mini titan, but keen to stay electric.

Would an electric conversion of a knight 50 be spectacularly infeasible? I see that quite a few on here like the model, and they come in quite at bit less than the trex's.

    cheers

Really? How very intriguing. Any idea when it might hit the shops?

The Raptor 620 is the 50 version (uses 600 blades) but I think most use 10s with it

If your looking to buy now then i dont really think you have much choice. Ma stuff is expensive parts availability of the logo seems to be a bit naff and they kept the worst bit of the Raptor when they made the e versions.

I've got a few of models this size so feel slightly qualified to comment:

ERaptors. These are competent models, but the head mixing and poor servo layout makes them not so good for modern 3D. Like all glow conversions, they're too heavy to make really good electrics.

Trex600. Cheaply made, heavy, chronically underpowered and very poor flight durations, but despite all this it manages to fly rather well and is cheap to buy and repair. IMO it would be better if it were available as a bare kit so you wouldn't have to get stuck with the inadequate 6s power setup.

3DMP. Expensive, but beautifully made. Flies like a dream, but very hard see. Not the sort of model you want to crash very often and only takes special Voltz servos. Ugly or stylish depending on your viewpoint.

New Logos. I like these. Moderately expensive, but super smooth and precise. Sell the children and go for a flybarless one. You know it makes sense. There have been some gear stripping issues, but these are now well documented and easily avoided now. Spares are not cheap and the pack is exposed to crash damage in the 600.

Logo10 3D. A very underrated model. Thoroughly nice in every way. This and the Logo500 offer big model feel without the expensive packs needed for the 600 sizes.

Logo14. Kept the best till last. This, in my view, is still the one to beat. Superlightweight, fast and furious. Just don't crash it and break the frames.
