Hitec tail servo for trex 500?

I need a tail servo for my Trex 500 and was wondering what Hitec would you recommend? No hard 3d here. Hovering only at this stage. Are Hitec any good?

I have no clue about Hitec. Have you thought about the Align 520 or the Savox equivalent. If you want to push the boat out there is the MKS 8910A+ but it is a narrow pulse width servo so needs to be checked if your gyro or fbl controller supports it.

Martin. If you can check that attic ASAP that would be great. Rather pay you. That 500 of mine has turned into a nightmare! Peter thinks it might be the tail servo that is buggerd now. Hoping it's that and not the gyro. Reason I suggested the Hitec was of cost at this stage. I know there not the best but I need to try and eliminate the problems. Before I buy 2nd hand I'm going to fly before I buy! Lesson learned the expensive way.....

Also Martin. Don't know if you have one, but do you have a spare Gyro? If its not the Tail Servo it might be the Gyro that's buggerd. Again it's a process of elimination. Hopefully just the tail servo.

I got both the gyro & the servo here I will bring both with me tomorrow mate.

If you are fitting a new tail servo have you thought about boom mounting a full size tail servo. You can pick up an Align DS650 or JR8900G of the forum second hand for not much money nowadays.

Brilliant!! I'll be there in the morning. What time will you be at the club? The misses has the car tommorow so I'll be there early - 10.00 -30.
Hopefully we might get this dam heli fixed.
I know I have the Mikado but I don't want to learn on that yet. Fear you see....
