  • DIY Battery tray?

    Any good ideas on how to make a battery tray for a Mikado 600?
    What materials etc??

    A carbon sheet would do..

      Carbon sheet just smaller than the two batteries together and then a second layer of heatshrink around the lot to hold it all in place.

          I use one of these from Customheli Parts.
          Logo 500/600 Battery Tray
          Will cost about £24 with p&p.

                After seeing Jock0's post with the link it got me thinking so I wondered out to the hangar and found my original T-rex 700e V1 battery trays that I've never used. To my supprise I discovered that these trays are infact the same dimentions as that of the designed upgrade so they could be used in the logo if you were to make a small nick in both of the sideframes for it to slide in.

                I'll be making the mod I think as it will save a whole lot of agro when it comes to changing the batteries and of course the v1 700 trays are half the cost of the suggested upgrade
